I enjoy music as a muse also- so inspiring that I write scenes around a certain song or listen for one which expresses it.
A couple of writer friends and I are experiencing breaks from our favorite thing in life- writing!

For me it’s been…sheesh! *five years* since I worked on revising one of my novels. I’ve gotten so busy with life, I had no room left in my brain to be creative, and then I just got scared to write/loathed everything I wrote…

but your article makes me feel a ray of hope. I’ll try to just write a couple sentences. I’ve written a couple poems and shorts over the 5 years away, but never anything related to the novels, because when I tried I hated it so badly. But, I think I’ll try again, and just…see what happens.
