I have had a tough time releasing my new book into the world. My first 3 novels sort of appeared very quickly, but in the time since they were published, I slowed down and focused more on “behind the scenes” activity. Thus, my fourth book in the series has taken longer to write and edit because it had to be just right, and I had to prepare all the other stuff around it – cover design, editing, audience building etc. Eventually I just had to send it to my beta readers and step away.
